I just picked this tablet up today. It was between this one and an Ipad. This seemed to be the better tablet. I have an apple laptop and an Iphone so by no means am I an apple hater. They have some very great products but I like the Android OS that this tablet comes with. The setup was fast an easy. I keep this next to me when I watch TV and I want to read and post to facebook. I will write more as time goes by. I will take to work with me tomorrow and see how it handles.
I bought this product for my husband for an anniversary/birthday present a couple of weeks ago. He loves it! Easy to use - very user friendly for my husband who had a stroke 5 yrs ago. My husband now has physical limitations and some problems with logical thinking so it's difficult for him to use his laptop. The big screen is bright and well organized out of the box. It's easy to set up. A family friend has an IPAD 2 and had time to help my husband set up his Galaxy 2. Even the friend was impressed with the Galaxy 2 verses his IPAD. Battery holds up well too! We did invest another $100.00 at Best Buy to purchase some protective coating for the screen and a hard case to protect it against scratches, drops, etc.
This tablet is beautiful and works beautifully. Does everything I was looking for. The screen is very clear and bright. Like to auto-dimming and the fact that I can override it and set the brightness to what I like. Like others have mentioned, this unit is a little heavy and battery life is a little short.
